Agroforstsystem mit Walnüssen und schnellwachsenden Pappeln

Description: <p></p><p><p>Auf einer Fläche von ca. 2,5 Hektar wurde ein Agroforstsystem mit 34 Walnussbäumen und 175 schnellwachsenden Pappeln angelegt. Ein Teil der Fläche wird bereits heute als Auslauffläche für die mobile Freilandhaltung von Geflügel genutzt. In der Auslauffläche wurde ein Gehölzstreifen mit 10 Walnussbäumen und ein Gehölzstreifen mit 175 Pappeln, die in einer Doppelreihe gepflanzt wurden, angelegt. Die Pappeln dienen den Legehennen, als Schutz vor Greifvögeln und spenden im Sommer Schatten. Auf der übrigen Fläche, die bisher noch für den Ackerbau genutzt wird, sind zwei Gehölzstreifen mit jeweils 12 Walnussbäumen angelegt worden. Perspektivisch soll diese Fläche ebenfalls als Auslauffläche für Geflügel genutzt werden. Die Bäume sollen dann zur Beschattung dienen. Mit unserem Agroforstsystem verfolgen wir im Wesentlichen zwei Ziele. Die Bäume sollen im Sommer der Beschattung der Auslaufflächen fürs Geflügel dienen. Darüber hinaus wollen wir die Walnüsse über unsere Direktvermarktung vertrieben und die Pappeln als Energieholz nutzen.
