Silvoarables Wertholzsystem mit Pappelstreifen auf Gut Marienhof

Description: <p></p><p><p>In Hückelhoven wurden im März 2025 ein mehrere Reihen junger Werthölzer auf einer sechs Hektar großen Hangfläche etabliert. Dabei wurden insgesamt rund 350 Baume gepflanzt - darunter Baumhasel, Hybridnuss, Spitzahorn, Wildkirsche und Mostbirne. Die Baume wurden in Dreiergruppen gesetzt und werden in den kommenden Jahren selektiv vereinzelt, um das Wachstum zu optimieren. Die Geholze sind auf fünf parallel verlaufende Streifen mit einer Gesamtgeholzfläche von 0,9 Hektar verteilt. Vor zwei Jahren wurde bereits ein erster Pappelstreifen (0,15 ha) gepflanzt. Zwischen den Gehölzstreifen wird Ackerbau betrieben. Eine Herausforderung auf dem Betrieb stellt die Hanglage dar: Starkes Regenwasser führt hier zu Bodenerosion. Um diesem Prozess entgegenzuwirken, wurden Gehölzstreifen quer zum Hang angelegt. Diese sollen das Regenwasser effizient in den Boden leiten und langfristig fruchtbare Ackerboden bewahren. Das Projekt wird von der VRD Stiftung für Erneuerbare Energien und der Eva Mayr-Stihl Stiftung gefördert.
