Groundwater Quality in the Lusatia Mining Region, Germany (1949-1995)

Description: The presented data are from the German part of the Lusatia region, mainly collected between years 1950 and 1995, with a few records predating or postdating this period. It comprises analyses of key water quality parameters, such as iron, sulfate, and PTEs (potentially toxic elements). Compiled from historical sources, the digitized dataset has been transformed into a modern geospatial dataset that adheres to the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) principles while also being aligned with the INSPIRE framework for geospatial data interoperability. The dataset underwent comprehensive quality control, standardization, and harmonization procedures to achieve this purpose.
