Description: Environmental related data and information are an important foundation for a sustainable development and need to be free, accessible, valid and transparent. The National Centre for Environmental and Nature conservation information at the German Federal Environment Agency (Umweltbundesamt – UBA) concentrates openly accessible data and information about the environment and nature conservation in its portal https://umwelt.info. We cooperate with data providers, identify relevant sources, reference their metadata and create target group specific editorials and tools. We want to counteract against the fragmented environmental data and information landscape in Germany. Our goal is to create one central, digital access point to all openly accessible data and information about the environment and nature conservation in Germany. We index this knowledge based on its metadata. We collect data and information from state agencies, science, business, and civil society. You can access our website here: https://umwelt.info/en.
