UNECE Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air Pollution (Air Convention) - National gridded data of emissions by source category (GNFR), public 2025

Description: This dataset originates from the national gridded air pollutant emission inventories reported by Eionet member countries as parties to the UNECE Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air Pollution (Air Convention). Countries submit annual emissions data for multiple air pollutants, including: BC, Cd, CO, HCB, Hg, NH3, NMVOC, NOx, PAHs, Pb, PCBs, PCDD/PCDF, PM10, PM2.5 and SOx. The reported national totals are organised according to the GNFR source category classification (Gridded Nomenclature for Reporting), ensuring consistency across countries and pollutants. The final output is a spatially explicit emission dataset across multiple years (1990-2023) showing how much pollution is released: - per pollutant - per source category (GNFR) - distributed by each point in the EMEP grid
