National Emission reduction Commitments Directive (NECD) - National gridded data of emissions by source category (GNFR), public 2025

Description: This dataset originates from the national gridded air pollutant emission inventories reported by EU Member States under the National Emission Reduction Commitments Directive (NECD). Countries submit annual emissions data for multiple air pollutants, including: BC, Cd, CO, HCB, Hg, NH3, NMVOC, NOx, PAHs, Pb, PCBs, PCDD/PCDF, PM10, PM2.5 and SOx The reported national totals are organised according to the GNFR source category classification (Gridded Nomenclature for Reporting), ensuring consistency across countries and pollutants. The final output is a spatially explicit emission dataset across multiple years (1990-2023) showing how much pollution is released: - per pollutant - per source category (GNFR) - distributed by each point in the EMEP grid
