Bacterial degradation of aromatic compounds

Description: Many soil bacteria, particularly those of genus Pdeudomonas, are able to catabolise a wide range of natural and synthetic organic materials. We are studying the catabolism of aromatic compounds by Pseudomonas bacteria and trying to improve their catabolic ability by means of genetic engineering.
