Kontingente Bewertung und Existenzwerte

Description: Ökonomische Bewertungsverfahren gewinnen in der Umweltpolitik zunehmend an Bedeutung. So spielt die Bewertung des Nutzens von Maßnahmen auch im Umsetzungsprozess der europäischen Wasserrahmenrichtlinie eine Rolle. Insbesondere zu den Existenzwerten von Umweltgütern liegen bislang jedoch nur vereinzelt Informationen vor. Im Rahmen dieses Projektes wurde untersucht, inwieweit kontingente Bewertungsverfahren geeignet sind um Existenzwerte von Umweltgütern zu erfassen. Dazu wurde eine Übersicht vorhandener Studien sowie der aktuellen wissenschaftlichen Diskussion erstellt.

  Title: Contingent valuation and existence value
  Description: Economic valuation of environmental resources receives increasing attention in environmental policy. For the water sector, the implementation process of the European Water Framework Directive moved the assessment of the benefits of measures for reaching good water status to the focus of attention. So far, only a limited amount of studies can be drawn upon for enlightening the existence value component of environmental goods. In the course of this project, main advantages and controversies related to the application of the contingent valuation method to the measurement of existence values are highlighted.
