Description: Ziel dieses Vorhabens war einerseits die Erhebung von Häufigkeitskennziffern von dentalen DVT (digitale Volumentomographie)- Systemen für Deutschland. Des Weiteren sollte bei den Systemen mit der größten Verbreitung die effektive Dosis ermittelt werden und zwar für minimale und maximale Expositionsparameter im Vergleich zum entsprechenden gemessenen Dosisflächenprodukt (DFP) zur Ermittlung von etwaigen gerätespezifischen Konversions-Koeffizienten.

Title: Measurement of effective doses of CBCT devices in relationship to a measurand
Description: The objective of the research project 'Measurement of effective doses of CBCT devices in relationshipto another measured value (3609S40003)' was the acquisition of installation and examination frequenciesof dental CBCT units in Germany as well as the assessment of the associated radiation exposure of the patients.Administrative data were delivered by regional control boards. The examination frequency was assessedfrom the respective data of one region in Germany and then extrapolated to the whole country. The effectivedoses were acquired by exposing TLDs in an anthropomorphic head phantom or Rando-phantom, respectively.In parallel dose area product (DAP) measurements were conducted. The aim was to finally get equipmentspecific conversion coefficients between effective doses and DAP values. In the present study DAP valuesfrom 0.1 to 550.7 ìGym2 and effective doses from 17.2 to 396.0 ìSv were determined.
