Description: We investigate secondary plant substances which protect the plants against herbivor damage. Investigated are plants in the family Euphorbiaceae (Macaranga) and trees of the following families: Dipterocarpaceae, Rubiaceae and Meliaceae. Furthermore we study systematics of the genus Macaranga.
