Title: Subproject: Network condition estimation for unmeasured network areas and measurement data processing
Description: QUIRINUS-Control is a comprehensive research project for the objective evaluation and thus the future safeguarding of voltage quality against the background of the move away from large-scale power plants and the further integration of converter-based plants in the Rhenish coalfield. QUIRINUS-Control offers interdisciplinary approaches by a consortium of research institutes, grid operators, consultants, measuring device manufacturers, software developers and plant manufacturers for the identification of possible voltage quality losses. In particular, QUIRINUS-Control aims at the development of systemic solution measures and component solutions as well as the derivation of best practice solutions by setting up a wide-area monitoring system as a tool within the project. The central goals of the subproject of the TH-Köln are the derivation of algorithms for the power quality state estimation as well as the processing of the measured data. The power quality state estimation is used to calculate the power quality at locations where no direct measurements are available from the measurements at neighbouring locations. The measurement data is stored in a database and must be processed by identifying and evaluating events with appropriate algorithms and then analysing them statistically.
