Description: Das Akteursnetzwerk der Grüne Band Europa (GBE) Initiative, vornehmlich die mit der Vereinsgründung European Green Belt Association e.V. neu etablierte Governance-Struktur sowie die Regionalkoordination in den vier Hauptregionen (Fennoskandien, Ostsee, Zentraleuropa, Balkan), soll gestärkt und weiter ausgebaut werden. Ein großer Erfolg der Initiative war, dass die EU-Kommission die GBE Initiative als Modellprojekt zur Umsetzung Grüner Infrastruktur (GI) benannt hat. Daher werden im Vorhaben in zwei Pilotregionen basierend auf zu aktualisierenden Daten zu Schutzgebieten (Natura 2000 und Emerald) Analysen zu Konnektivität und potenziellen Defiziten des Lebensraumverbundes erstellt, um den Beitrag des GBE zur Entwicklung von GI auf europäischer Ebene darzustellen. Darauf aufbauend werden Konzepte und Handlungsempfehlungen für die weitere Umsetzung von GI entlang des GBE erarbeitet. Um die Aktivitäten und entwickelten Konzepte auf breiter Ebene der GBE Initiative zu kommunizieren und abzustimmen, werden Board-Sitzungen des Vereins und eine Regionalkonferenz durchgeführt. Der BUND MV leistet in seinem Projektteil insbesondere: (1) Koordinierung des Akteursnetzwerks Grünes Band Ostsee, (2) Organisation (Vor- und Nachbereitung, Durchführung) der Regionalkonferenz Grünes Band Ostsee vsl. in Riga sowie (3) Ausarbeitung eines tragfähigen Konzeptes für transnationale Projekte im Raum Grünes Band Ostsee inklusive Abstimmung mit den Regionalkoordinatoren der anderen drei Hauptabschnitte.

  Description: The Research- and Development- (R+D-) project 'The European Green Belt as Part of Green Infrastructure' (runtime: November 2015 - January 2018) supports the cooperation of stakeholders within the European Green Belt Initiative and the 'European Green Belt Association e.V.'. This is especially relevant in view of new topical focuses to be addressed like the subject of Green Infrastructure. The three key aspects of the project are: - Strengthening the governance structure of the European Green Belt Initiative, - Initiation of a common strategical process for the European Green Belt - Elaboration of a concept for the representation and development of the Green Belt as part and model of Green Infrastructure.
