Es wird/wurde ausgeführt durch: Hochschule für Technik Stuttgart, Zentrum für angewandte Forschung an Fachhochschulen, Nachhaltige Energietechnik - zafh.net.The cooperation between HFT Stuttgart and CUNY New York brings together leading experts on building and urban energy systems. The researchers will work on an innovative urban simulation platform for decision support and energy management (in the long term available to a wide range of users, such as urban planners). The project will advance the state-of-the art by developing innovative modelling methods of urban energy systems, using a multi-scale framework combining statistical and engineering methods and integrating smart meter monitoring data. The experience of HFT Stuttgart in coupling 3D city models with modular simulation tools will be combined with the expertise of CUNY on comprehensive monitoring on large sets of buildings. During the first research stay, the researcher from Stuttgart will develop and test the 3D city modeling tools for the public building sector in New York and calibrate the models with monitoring results available at the CUNY Building Performance Lab.
