Description: The typological approach to the prize winning pictures in photo contests in Europe an Japan. The existence of the Foucauldian archive of collective memry in landscape is examed by analyzing the result of the contests from wider socio-cultural context. The social construction of nation as volks of forests is believed to be very unique phenominon but the process could be very similar in different contexts.
