Land resource use and sustainability in the rainfed agriculture in the Sudan

Description: 1. Objectives of the study is to analyse the rainfed farming system in eastern Sudan, taking the environmental aspects into cosideration besides studying the socio-economic impact of land degradation, suggesting the possible adjustments to the crop mix and rotations. 2. Hypotheses: There is a direct relationship between land degradation and the living standard. The current production system entails high returns in the short run and low returns in the long run with misuse of the land resource.
