Transformative Partizipation für Erneuerbare Energie-Landschaften - Wertschöpfung, Beteiligung, Akzeptanz, Teilvorhaben: Bewegte Öffentlichkeit: Narrative und Praktiken der Energiewende

Description: Das Teilprojekt untersucht Zusammenhänge zwischen Energieakzeptanz und deren soziokulturelle Bedingungen vor Ort. Die Energiewende wird als gesamtgesellschaftlicher Prozess und lokal gelebte Erfahrung betrachtet, in dem es nicht nur um technologische Innovationen geht, sondern um einen Wertewandel und die Aushandlung von sozialen Zugehörigkeiten und kulturellen Identitäten, ferner auch um das Entstehen neuartiger Formen von Öffentlichkeit. Das Projekt fragt: Welche spezifisch lokalen Narrative und Praktiken prägen den Umgang mit Energiefragen in den untersuchten Regionen? Wie können diese Narrative in Bürgerbeteiligungsinstrumente integriert werden und die Energieakzeptanz erhöhen? Welche (neuen) Formen lokaler Öffentlichkeit werden durch solche Beteiligungsprozesse ermöglicht und mitgestaltet? Mit Hilfe von ethnographischen Methoden, darunter Interviews, teilnehmender Beobachtung sowie qualitativer Medien- und Dokumentenanalyse, werden lokalen Narrative und Praktiken herausgearbeitet. Es wird untersucht, welche Auswirkung die Integration von positiven lokalen Narrativen in ie Bürgerbeteiligungsformate im Hinblick auf Akzeptanzsteigerung und Beschleunigung der Energiewende haben. Das Vorhaben macht (neue) Formen der Öffentlichkeit sichtbar, die eine Grundlage für post-fossile Demokratie im Kontext der Energiewende bilden können. Das Teilprojekt schließt an die international relevanten disziplinären und interdisziplinären Forschungsfelder der Environmental Anthropology, Anthropology of Sustainability, Anthropology of Energy sowie Energy Humanities an und erweitert diese. Die Projektergebnisse werden auch für außeruniversitäre Akteure relevant sein, so beispielsweise für die Entwicklung von Partizipationstools in anderen regionalen Kontexten.

  Title: Subproject: Moving Public Spheres: Narratives and Practices of the Energy Transition
  Description: The subproject investigates the connections between energy acceptance and its socio-cultural conditions on site. The energy transition is seen as a process of society as a whole and a locally lived experience, which is not only about technological innovations, but also about a change in values and the negotiation of social affiliations and cultural identities, as well as the emergence of new forms of public sphere. The project asks: What specific local narratives and practices shape the way energy issues are dealt with in the regions studied? How can these narratives be integrated into citizen participation instruments and increase energy acceptance? What (new) forms of local public sphere are enabled and shaped by such participation processes? Using ethnographic methods, including interviews, participant observation, and qualitative media and document analysis, local narratives and practices will be elaborated. The impact of integrating positive local narratives into ie citizen participation formats in terms of increasing acceptance and accelerating the energy transition will be investigated. The project makes visible (new) forms of public sphere that can form a basis for post-fossil democracy in the context of the energy transition. The subproject connects to and extends the internationally relevant disciplinary and interdisciplinary research fields of Environmental Anthropology, Anthropology of Sustainability, Anthropology of Energy, and Energy Humanities.
