FP6-SUSTDEV, Netzwerk zur Verifizierung von Luftreinhaltungstechnologien

Description: Die Europäische Kommission versucht mit ihrem ehrgeizigen Aktionsplan für Umwelttechnologien (COM (2004) 38) - ETAP die Entwicklung und großflächigere Anwendung von Umwelttechnologien zu verbessern. Viele neue Umwelttechnologien haben ein großes Potential, den Zustand der Umwelt zu verbessern. Gleichzeitig können sie die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit europäischer Unternehmen steigern. Die Hauptziele des Aktionsplans sind: - Beseitigung von Akzeptanzhemmnissen, um das gesamte Potential von Technologien zum Schutz der Umwelt zu erschließen und dabei auch zur Steigerung der Wettbewerbsfähigkeit und zum wirtschaftlichen Wachstum beizutragen - Übernahme einer Führungsrolle in der Entwicklung und Anwendung von Umwelttechnologien durch die EU in den kommenden Jahren - Mobilisierung aller Interessensgruppen zur Unterstützung dieser Ziele. Eine der im Aktionsplan adressierten Maßnahmen sind Verfahren zur Überprüfung der Leistungsfähigkeit von Umwelttechnologien. Ziel ist es, ein europäisches Instrument zur Verifizierung der Leistungsmerkmale von umweltfreundlichen Technologien - environmental sound technologies (EsT) anhand von allgemein anerkannten und transparenten Protokollen bereitzustellen. Die Ergebnisse der Verifizierung sollen Entscheidungsträgern, Behörden, Käufern und der breiten Öffentlichkeit durch geeignete Informationsmedien bereitgestellt werden. Ziel ist dabei, die Markteinführung neuer Technologien zu beschleunigen. Für AIRTV - Test-Netzwerk für die Verifizierung von Luftreinhaltungstechnologien - stehen 11 Partner aus sieben EU-Mitgliedsstaaten unter Führung der Fundacion Leia (Spanien). Übergeordnetes Ziel von AIRTV ist die Beschleunigung der Einführung von EsT in Europa im Sinne von ETAP. Erreicht werden soll dies durch die Entwicklung eines Verifizierungssystems für den Bereich 'Emissionsreduzierung'. AIRTV wird zur Umsetzung dieses Vorhabens eine Verifizierungsstrategie mit verlässlichen und unabhängigen Testprotokollen zur Verfügung stellen. Die Schritte sind dabei: - Die Entwicklung eines Systems zur Verifizierung innovativer und etablierter Technologien im Bereich Emissionsminderung von Verbrennungssystemen - Erarbeitung eines organisatorischen Rahmens für den Test und die Verifizierung solcher EsT's in Europa - Technologieverifizierung in Europa zu etablieren und alle Interessengruppen in den Entwicklungsländern einzubinden.

  Description: *The European Commission adopted an ambitious Action Plan (COM (2004) 38) to improve the development and wider use of environmental technologies. Many new environmental technologies have great potential to improve the environment and, at the same time, boost the competitiveness of companies. The Action Plan proposes the creation of networks of specialised centres to carry out the testing and assessment of clean technologies based around families of technology sectors. AIRTV will become a powerful tool for the efficient implementation of this Action Plan. The overall, strategic objective of AIRTV is to speed up the implementation of EsT in Europe by establishing a system of their verification, proving the benefits of EsTs use for environment and human life conditions AIRTV will provide reliable and independent performance data for EsT in the field of air emissions reduction technologies.
