Europäische Angebotspotenziale für grünen Wasserstoff und Analyse der Auswirkungen auf einen Wasserstoff-Binnenmarkt sowie die deutsche Volkswirtschaft, Teilvorhaben: Regionalisierte Standortfaktoren in Europa und makroökonomische Analyse von Wasserstoffbezugspfaden

Description: Ziel des Projekts ist die Identifikation von Wirkzusammenhängen zwischen den europäischen Bereitstellungspotenzialen grünen Wasserstoffs und einem europäischen Wasserstoffmarkt aufzuzeigen sowie die makroökonomischen Effekte verschiedener Wasserstoffbereitstellungsoptionen für Deutschland zu untersuchen. Dazu werden die Bereitstellungspotenziale in Form von Kosten-Potenzialkurven unter Berücksichtigung relevanter Standortfaktoren ermittelt und sowohl die Daten als auch eine grafische Aufbereitung auf einer Website bereitgestellt. Zu den Standortfaktoren zählen z.B.die lokale Verfügbarkeit erneuerbaren Stroms, Wassers oder nahegelegener Transportinfrastrukturen, wie Strom- oder Gasnetze, Straßen, Schienen oder Wasserwegen. Methodisch werden im Rahmen des Projekts ein europäisches Wasserstoffmarktmodell sowie ein agentenbasiertes makroökonomisches Modell zur Bewertung von Wasserstoffbezugsstrategien entwickelt. Die Daten und Quellcodes aller Modelle werden gemäß Open Science veröffentlicht, so dass sie AnwenderInnen aus Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft auch für eigene Analysen zur Verfügung stehen. Ausgehend von einer Analyse relevanter Standortfaktoren für die Bereitstellung grünen Wasserstoffs (AP1), werden für Europa detaillierte Daten erhoben werden, um bestehende Lücken zu schließen. Diese werden anhand von frei verfügbaren Informationsquellen extrahiert und regionalisiert (AP2). Die Ergebnisse dieser Datenbereitstellung fließen in eine techno-ökonomische Potentialanalyse ein (AP3), welche in die Entwicklung eines europäischen Wasserstoffmarktmodells mündet (AP4). Die Analyse der makroökonomischen Auswirkungen verschiedener Wasserstoffbezugspfade für Deutschland erfolgt basierend auf den Ergebnissen zum Wasserstoffmarkt (AP5). Die Ergebnisse werden im Rahmen eines europäischen Wasserstoffatlas visualisiert und frei zugänglich gemacht werden (AP6).

  Title: Subproject: Regionalized location factors in Europe and macroeconomic analysis of hydrogen supply paths
  Description: The aim of the project is to identify the interdependencies between the European green hydrogen supply potentials and a European hydrogen market and to investigate the macroeconomic effects of different hydrogen supply options for Germany. For this purpose, the supply potentials are determined in the form of cost-potential curves, taking into account relevant location factors, and both the data and a graphical presentation are made available on a website. The location factors include, for example, the local availability of renewable electricity, water or nearby transport infrastructures such as electricity or gas grids, roads, railways or waterways. Methodologically, the project will develop a European hydrogen market model and an agent-based macroeconomic model to evaluate hydrogen sourcing strategies. The data and source codes of all models will be published in accordance with Open Science, so that they are also available to users from industry and science for their own analyses. Starting with an analysis of relevant location factors for the supply of green hydrogen (WP1), detailed data will be collected for Europe to fill existing gaps. These will be extracted from freely available information sources and regionalized (WP2). The results of this data provision will be incorporated into a techno-economic potential analysis (WP3), which will lead to the development of a European hydrogen market model (WP4). The analysis of the macroeconomic effects of different hydrogen supply paths for Germany is based on the results on the hydrogen market (WP5).
