Description: Das Projekt "Untersuchung der Makroarthropodengemeinschaften in den Hoch- und Umwandlungsmooren nationaler Bedeutung im Kanton Tessin und in Moseano" wird vom Umweltbundesamt gefördert und von Universite de Neuchatel, Faculte des Sciences, Institut de Zoologie durchgeführt. Within the framework of the mesures taken by the Confederation to protect biotopes, 17 peat bogs of national importance have been listed in the Ticino, six in the Moseano. The main aim of this research is an eco-faunistic study of several groups of peat-bogs macro-arthropods, the analysis of their distribution from N to S Tessin. The cisalpine communities will then be compared with the better-known communities in the Jura. The results will be analysed to show the links between the typology of the peat-bogs and the communities. This study will furnish arguments to manage the cisalpine peat-bogs.
