Analyse inhaltlicher und rechtlicher Aspekte zur FSC-Waldzertifizierung von Holzbeschaffung auf Bundesebene zur Stärkung ökologischer Standards

Description: In diesem Projekt analysiert Ecologic inhaltliche und rechtliche Aspekte der Umstellung der öffentlichen Beschaffung auf Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) zertifiziertes Holz. Eine solche Umstellung ist im Koalitionsvertrag der Bundesregierung von 2002 vorgesehen. Danach soll Tropenholz im Bereich des Bundes nur noch aus FSC-zertifizierten Beständen beschafft werden. Die Ergebnisse des Vorhabens fließen kontinuierlich in den politischen Entscheidungsprozess ein. Es werden Wege der Umsetzung, Problemfelder sowie Lösungsansätze aufgezeigt. Maßgebliches Ergebnis des Projekts ist die Entwicklung von Handlungsoptionen für die Umstellung der Beschaffungspolitik bis zum Ende der Legislaturperiode.

  Title: Legal Analysis of FSC Forest Certification and Timber Procurement in Germany
  Description: Ecologic provides a comprehensive analysis of legal and other aspects of the conversion of timber procurement in Germany to wood certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). Such a conversion is anticipated by the 2002 coalition agreement of the German Federal Government. After this, tropical timber will only be procured from FSC-certified sources. The results of the project contribute to the ongoing political decision-making process. Ways of implementation, possible problems and solutions will be explored.
