Das Projekt zum Vergleich und zur Verbesserung von landwirtschaftlichen Simulationsmodellen (AgMIP)

Description: AgMIP ist ein Zusammenschluss internationaler Pflanzenwachstums- und Klimamodellierer und untersucht die Prozesskette Klimamodell - Skalierungsmethode - Pflanzenwachstumsmodell - Landnutzungsmodell- Ökonomiemodell auf ihre methodische Unsicherheit. Diese Arbeiten stehen im Zusammenhang mit dem 5. Sachstandsbericht des Zwischenstaatlichen Ausschusses für Klimaänderungen und zielen auf die grundlegende Charakterisierung der globalen Ernährungssicherheit unter sich wandelnden Klimabedingungen und auf die Verbesserung der Adaptionsmöglichkeiten in Industrie-, Schwellen- und Entwicklungsländern. 'Die erste Phase des Projekts beschäftigt sich mit der Abweichung von Simulationsmodellen für Weizen, Mais und Reis voneinander in einem Simulationsexperiment ohne Kalibrierung (Blind Test) an vier Standorten unterschiedlicher Agrarökologischen Zonen.

  Description: AgMIP is a distributed climate-scenario simulation research activity for historical model intercomparison and future climate change conditions with participation of multiple crop, agricultural land use, production, and economic modeling groups around the world. The goals of AgMIP are to improve substantially the characterization of risk of hunger and world food security due to climate change and to enhance adaptation capacity in both developing and developed countries. AgMIP places regional changes in agricultural land use and production in a global context that reflects new trading opportunities, imbalances, and shortages in world markets resulting from climate change and other driving forces of agricultural supply and demand.
