Umweltrecht der Baltischen Staaten im Kontext der Europäischen Integration

Description: Ziel dieses 1. Workshops für baltische Umweltjuristen war es, die verschiedenen umweltpolitischen Konzepte Estlands, Lettlands und Litauens im Hinblick auf die Annäherung an die Europäische Gemeinschaft zu diskutieren. Ecologic unterstützte den Workshop mit Hintergrundinformationen zur Entwicklung des Amsterdamer Vertrags und des europäischen Umweltrechts und seiner Instrumente. Anhand von praktischen Beispielen aus Deutschland, Schweden und dem Baltikum wurden Probleme bei der nationalen Umsetzung ausgewählter EU-Richtlinien erläutert.

  Description: The aim of this 1st Baltic Environmental Lawyers Round Table was to discuss concepts and principles of Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian environmental legislation with regard to European environmental law. Ecologic presented background information on the development of EU environmental legislation and its legal bases and instruments. Drawing on practical examples from Germany, Sweden and the Baltic States, transposition, implementation and enforcement problems connected to selected EU directives were highlighted.
