Sunscreens, made in Europe are a very important product on the international market. Quantifitive data and exact knowledge of the protective efficacy covering the complete range of potentially harmful UV-effects, including erythema, UV-induced immine suppression and DNA damage, are an important prerequisite to improve the competitive position of the European Cosmetic Industry.
