Description: Based on the 4th Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change ( IPCC ) submitted in 2007 concerning the causes and impacts of global warming as well as options for mitigation, the scientific findings are unambiguous. In all likelihood, i.e. with a probability of over 90 percent, the rise in the mean global temperature since the mid-20th century is attributable for the most part to the anthropogenic increase in the concentration of greenhouse gases.
