The dataset contains information on the European river basin districts, the river basin district sub-units, the surface water bodies and the groundwater bodies delineated for the 3rd River Basin Management Plans (RBMP) under the Water Framework Directive (WFD) as well as the European monitoring sites used for the assessment of the status of the above mentioned surface water bodies and groundwater bodies. The dataset compiles the available spatial data related to the 3rd RBMPs due in 2022 (hereafter WFD2022). See http://rod.eionet.europa.eu/obligations/780 for further information on the WFD2022 spatial reporting.
The WISE WFD reference spatial datasets contain information on the European river basin districts, the river basin district sub-units, the surface water bodies and the groundwater bodies delineated for the River Basin Management Plans (RBMP) under the Water Framework Directive (WFD) as well as the monitoring sites located in surface water bodies and groundwater bodies. The dataset includes EU Member States, Norway and Iceland.
This metadata refers to the geospatial dataset representing the status of the EEA Industrial Reporting database as of 10 March 2025 (version 14). The release and emissions data cover the period 2007-2023 as result of the data reported under the E-PRTR facilities, 2017-2023 for IED installations and WI/co-WIs, and 2016-2023 for LCPs. These data are reported to EEA under Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) 2010/75/EU Commission Implementing Decision 2018/1135 and the European Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (E-PRTR) Regulation (EC) No 166/2006 Commission Implementing Decision 2019/1741. The dataset brings together data formerly reported separately under E-PRTR Regulation Art.7 and under IED Art.72. Additional reporting requirements under the IED are also included.
This database contains policies and measures (PaMs) reported by EU Member States following European Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/1522 of 11 October 2018 laying down a common format for national air pollution control programmes under Directive (EU) 2016/2284 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the reduction of national emissions of certain atmospheric pollutants. This database will be updated on a quarterly basis. It is important to note that the database only contains latest data that has been reported by Member States using the PAM-tool: https://webforms.eionet.europa.eu/. The completeness and accuracy of the data depends on the quality of reporting by each country. Release years: 2019 v1: Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Portugal,Slovenia, Spain, Sweden 2020 v1: Czechia, Hungary, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Slovakia 2021 v1: Greece, Ireland 2022 v1: Lithuania 2023 v1: Estonia, Romania, France, Ireland, Cyprus, Luxembourg, Poland 2024 v1: Austria, Spain, Sweden 2024 v2: Cyprus, Germany, Ireland, Lithuania, Slovenia 2024 v3: Austria, Cyrus, Germany, Ireland, Lithuania, Slovenia, Sweden
Progress to targets for greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and removals is a dataset under the National Energy and Climate Progress Reports (NECPRs), which is reported every second year (starting in 2023) by EU Member States. The dataset provides information regarding Member State's GHG and removals targets and progress in achieving them. The EEA collects and quality checks this data. The dataset links to data from GHG inventories and projections (also collected by the EEA), as well as Annual Emission Allocations (AEAs). This reporting obligation comes from the Governance Regulation 2018/1999, Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/2299 (Annex I).

This dataset contains information on how EU Member States spend the revenues from auctioning EU ETS emission allowances in one calendar year. More information on the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) can be found here. The revenues from the auctioning of these allowances represent an increasing income source for Member States. This data is being collected under Article 19 of the Governance Regulation. The Regulation’s aim is to help the EU reach its 2030 climate and energy targets by setting common rules for planning, reporting and monitoring. The Regulation also ensures that EU planning and reporting are synchronised with the ambition cycles under the Paris Agreement. Reporting is mandatory for EU Member States. Some information is only mandatory to report if the data is available.

Data compiled are annual national total and sectoral emissions of air pollutants and associated activity data reported by EEA member and cooperating countries. Data are available for download in the UNECE/EMEP Nomenclature for Reporting (NFR14) format used by countries. A consolidated dataset for all countries in the NFR14 format and consistent with the European Union's air pollutant emission inventory submission to the LRTAP Convention is also provided.
