Entwicklung eines universellen Seitenlader-Müllfahrzeuges

Der Seitenlader soll sowohl mit Mono- als auch Mehrkammerstauraum/-räumen (evt. auch Drehtrommel für Biomüll) auswechselbar arbeiten. Hierdurch sind die optimalen 'Werkzeuge' zur Getrenntsammlung je nach regionalem Bedarf vorhanden bei minimalen Vorhaltekosten.

Erfassung, Bewertung und Fortentwicklung der sicheren Beförderung radioaktiver Stoffe

Das Vorhaben hat zum einen das Ziel, die zuständigen Behörden bei der Wahrnehmung ihrer gesetzlichen Aufgaben und internationalen Verpflichtungen in Zusammenhang mit der Beförderung radioaktiver Stoffe zu unterstützen. Zum anderen sollen wissenschaftlich-technische Grundlagen, Basisdaten und Methoden bereitgestellt und bewertet werden, mit denen Transportrisiken analysiert werden können. Die Ergebnisse können auch in eine Fortentwicklung des internationalen Regelwerks münden. Das Öko-Institut hat in diesem Projekt die Aufgabe, die oben genannten Aspekte bezogen auf radioaktive Abfälle aus Stilllegung und Rückbau kerntechnischer Anlagen sowie aus Wissenschaft, Medizin und Technik zu untersuchen.

Greenhouse gas emissions under the Effort Sharing Decision, 2005-2017

The Effort Sharing Decision (ESD) No 406/2009/EC establishes annual greenhouse gas emission targets for Member States for the period 2013–2020. These targets concern emissions from most sectors not included in the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS), such as transport, buildings, agriculture and waste. Emissions from land use, land use change and forestry (LULUCF) and international shipping are not included. Every year, the EEA coordinates the ESD review of Member States’ greenhouse gas inventories, so that the European Commission can determine compliance with the annual ESD targets on the basis of accurate, reliable and verified emission data. Review reports and final ESD emissions are published by the European Commission. ESD emissions for the period 2005–2012 and for the latest year ("Y-1") are estimated by EEA on the basis of national GHG inventory data and ETS emissions.

Auswirkung einer motivationsfördernden Maßnahme auf die Veränderung des Abfalltrennverhaltens und Analyse der hausinternen Abfalllogistik der WWU

Ziel des Projektes war es festzustellen, ob spezielle Aktionen zu einer Änderung im Abfalltrennverhalten von Studierenden und Mitarbeitern führen. Es wurde eine Aktion begleitet, bei der Hinweise auf die Abfalltrennung auf Esspapier gedruckt wurden. Weiterhin wurde eine Schwachstellenanalyse der hausinternen Abfalllogistik durchgeführt.

Kontrolle radioaktiver Materialien

Im Brennstoffkreislauf von Kernkraftwerken entstehen chemisch verschiedenartige Abfallsorten, welche wiederum verschiedenartige Radionuklide in unterschiedlichen Konzentrationen aufweisen. Diese Abfaelle stellen ein oekologisches und politisches Problem dar. Im Projekt wird versucht, in interdisziplinaerer, umfassender Betrachtungsweise die verschiedenartigen Abfallstroeme zu kontrollieren, zu charakterisieren, einzuengen oder zu stabilisieren. Das Projekt ist eingeteilt in ff. Vorhaben: - LWR-Dekontamination: zur Reduktion der Dosisbelastung bei Unterhaltsarbeiten evtl. zur Freidekontamination von Bauteilen bei Stillegungsarbeiten von KKW's. - Nassverbrennungsanlage fuer Pu-haltige Abfaelle: zur Volumenreduktion und Konditionierung brennbarer, plutoniumhaltiger Abfaelle. -Qualitaetskontrollen an aktiven Materialien: zum Aufbau von Analysetechniken, zur Abfallcharakterisierung vor und nach der Konditionierung. Wiederaufarbeitungsteilgebiete: zur Charakterisierung von Brennstoffhuellen aus der Wiederaufarbeitung.

Greenhouse gas emissions under the Effort Sharing Legislation, 2005-2024

The Effort Sharing legislation covers greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from domestic transport, buildings, agriculture, small industry and waste, and accounts for more than 60 % of total EU GHG emissions. For the period 2013-2020, the Effort Sharing Decision established annual greenhouse gas emission targets for Member States, using global warming potentials (GWPs) from the Fourth Assessment Report (AR4) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and excluding NF3 emissions. For the period 2021-2030, emissions are regulated by the Effort Sharing Regulation (ESR), including NF3 emissions and with the use of the GWP values of the IPCC AR5. The EEA coordinates the Effort Sharing Legislation review of Member States’ greenhouse gas inventories, so that the European Commission can determine compliance with the annual Effort Sharing Legislation targets on the basis of accurate, reliable and verified emission data. Review reports and final Effort Sharing Legislation emissions are published by the European Commission.
