The WEI+ provides a measure of total water consumption as a percentage of the renewable freshwater resources available for a given territory and period. The WEI+ is an advanced geo-referenced version of the WEI. It quantifies how much water is abstracted monthly or seasonally and how much water is returned before or after use to the environment via river basins (e.g. leakages, discharges by economic sectors). The difference between water abstractions and water returns is regarded as ‘water consumption’.

Dumped munition in the German North Sea and Baltic Sea pose environmental risks as corrosion of the munition shells results in the leakage of the explosive 2,4,6-trinitroluene (TNT) into the marine environment. Uptake of TNT by marine biota and the associated negative effects on organisms are of major concern. This dataset reports behavioral responses of three-spined stickleback (Gasterosteus aculeatus) to environmentally relevant concentrations of TNT. Experimental sticklebacks were laboratory-bred and held in groups of 30 individuals in 60 L tanks in the fish facilities at the Thünen Institute of Fisheries Ecology in Bremerhaven. Parental sticklebacks originated from the Weser estuary (Luneplate, Bremerhaven, Germany, 53°28'36.9" N; 8°31'08.9" E) and were collected in April 2023. A total of 60 sticklebacks were tested in a controlled laboratory setup at the fish facilities at the Thünen Institute in Bremerhaven, containing two hideout zones formed by artificial plants. Each hideout was connected to an infusion system delivering either a TNT solution (100 µg/L) or control water into the zone currently occupied by the fish. Experimental trials were video-recorded to enable post hoc behavioral analysis. Behavioral metrics included the total time spent in the exposed hideout zone (s), latency to first leave the exposed hideout zone (s), and the number of crossings between hideout zones.
DWD’s fully automatic MOSMIX product optimizes and interprets the forecast calculations of the NWP models ICON (DWD) and IFS (ECMWF), combines these and calculates statistically optimized weather forecasts in terms of point forecasts (PFCs). Thus, statistically corrected, updated forecasts for the next ten days are calculated for about 5400 locations around the world. Most forecasting locations are spread over Germany and Europe. MOSMIX forecasts (PFCs) include nearly all common meteorological parameters measured by weather stations. The GRIND project (Geological Research through Integrated Neoproterozoic Drilling) aims to establish a comprehensive drill core archive of the Neoproterozoic Era through three phases: Tonian (GRIND-TON), Cryogenian (GRIND-CRY), and the Ediacaran–Cambrian Transition (GRIND-ECT). The GRIND-ECT phase, the first to be completed, investigates environmental change and biological turnover of the late Ediacaran leading to the Cambrian Explosion. GRIND-ECT drilling targeted mixed siliciclastic–carbonate successions in Namibia and Brazil, with drilling conducted during operational campaigns in 2019 and 2022. A total of eight fully cored boreholes were completed, recovering more than 2.6 km of HQ core with consistently high recovery. All cores were split, documented, and archived at the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR) core shed in Berlin-Spandau, Germany This report documents the ICDP operational dataset produced during Expedition 5064 and provides guidance on its structure, content, and use. The dataset comprises metadata, tabular data, and extensive image collections exported from the ICDP mobile Drilling Information System (mDIS), including site, hole, core, section, sample, lithology, and drilling records. All data are linked through ICDP combined identifiers and International Generic Sample Numbers (IGSNs), providing a robust and FAIR-compliant foundation for ongoing and future studies of the Ediacaran–Cambrian transition.
GRACE/GRACE-FO Level-3 product based on COST-G RL02 Level-2B products (Dahle & Murböck, 2025) representing Ocean Bottom Pressure (OBP) variations provided at 1° latitude-longitude grids as defined over ocean areas. The OBP grids are provided in NetCDF format containing seven different variables: 1) 'barslv': gravity-based barystatic sea-level pressure 2) 'std_barslv': gravity-based barystatic sea-level pressure standard deviations 3) 'resobp': gravity-based residual ocean circulation bottom pressure 4) 'std_resobp': gravity-based residual ocean circulation bottom pressure standard deviations 5) 'leakage': apparent gravity-based bottom pressure due to continental leakage contained in 'resobp' 6) 'model_ocean': background-model ocean circulation pressure 7) 'model_atmosphere': background-model atmospheric surface pressure These Level-3 products are visualized at GFZ's web portal GravIS (https://gravis.gfz.de). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version History: 14 August 2025: Initial release of the data (Version 0001).
