Fog water samples were collected in the Arctic during the PS106 campaign (2017). Sampling was conducted on board the German research vessel Polarstern. These fog water samples were measured on pH, combined carbohydrates (CCHO) and dissolved free carbohydrates (DFCHO). Sampling altitude: ca. 21 m above sea level.
Bulk seawater, surface microlayer, ice core and brine samples from the Arctic, the North and Tropical Atlantic and Raunefjorden were investigated on their sugar concentrations. Free neutral monosaccharides (DFCHO) and combined monosaccharides/polysaccharides (CCHO) were determined using high performance anionic exchange chromatography with pulsed amperometric detection (HPAEC-PAD) and electro-dialysis for prior desalination.
Fuer die Bestimmung von Aminosaeuren, Ascorbinsaeuren, Fructose und Phosphat werden neuartige Enzymelektroden entwickelt, an deren Beispiel zwei Grundprobleme der Biosensorik, - die Erhoehung der Empfindlichkeit und - die Ausschaltung von Querempfindlichkeiten, untersucht werden. Dafuer wird die Anzeige des Sauerstoffverbrauchs und die Erniedrigung der Ueberspannung fuer Elektrodenreaktion durch Enzym/Mediatormodifizierung von Elektroden prinzipiell weiterentwickelt.
