Model Output Statistics for Hof (10685)

DWD’s fully automatic MOSMIX product optimizes and interprets the forecast calculations of the NWP models ICON (DWD) and IFS (ECMWF), combines these and calculates statistically optimized weather forecasts in terms of point forecasts (PFCs). Thus, statistically corrected, updated forecasts for the next ten days are calculated for about 5400 locations around the world. Most forecasting locations are spread over Germany and Europe. MOSMIX forecasts (PFCs) include nearly all common meteorological parameters measured by weather stations. GEMAS – Geochemische Kartierung der Acker- und Grünlandböden Europas, Einzelelementkarten, Hf - Hafnium

GEMAS (Geochemical Mapping of Agricultural and Grazing Land Soil in Europe) ist ein Kooperationsprojekt zwischen der Expertengruppe „Geochemie“ der europäischen geologischen Dienste (EuroGeoSurveys) und Eurometeaux (Verbund der europäischen Metallindustrie). Insgesamt waren an der Durchführung des Projektes weltweit über 60 internationale Organisationen und Institutionen beteiligt. In den Jahren 2008 und 2009 wurden in 33 europäischen Ländern auf einer Fläche von 5 600 000 km² insgesamt 2219 Ackerproben (Ackerlandböden, 0 – 20 cm, Ap-Proben) und 2127 Grünlandproben (Weidelandböden, 0 – 10 cm, Gr-Proben) entnommen. In den Proben wurden 52 Elemente im Königswasseraufschluss, 41 Elemente als Gesamtgehalte sowie TC und TOC bestimmt. Ergänzend wurde in den Ap-Proben zusätzlich 57 Elemente in der mobilen Metallionenfraktion (MMI®) sowie die Bleiisotopenverhältnisse untersucht. Alle analytischen Untersuchungen unterlagen einer strengen externen Qualitätssicherung. Damit liegt erstmals ein qualitätsgesicherter und harmonisierter geochemischer Datensatz für die europäischen Landwirtschaftsböden mit einer Belegungsdichte von einer Probe pro 2 500 km² vor, der eine Darstellung der Elementgehalte und deren Bioverfügbarkeit im kontinentalen (europäischen) Maßstab ermöglicht. Die Downloaddateien zeigen die flächenhafte Verteilung der mit verschiedenen Analysenmetoden bestimmten Elementgehalte in Form von farbigen Isoflächenkarten mit jeweils 7 und 72 Klassen.

METOP GOME-2 - Water Vapour (H2O) - Global

Gidded Level 3 H2O total columns. The Earth's capacity to sustain life is attributed to two mechanisms: the greenhouse effect and the hydrological cycle. Water vapour in the atmosphere is a critical component of both processes and the main naturally occurring greenhouse gas in the Earth's climate system. Water in gaseous form varies more than other greenhouse gases. Monitoring atmospheric water vapour globally is essential to understand its climate impacts. Measurements of water vapor columns are derived from satellite observations of solar radiation in the ultraviolet and visible (430 – 450 nm) spectral ranges. A water vapour absorption band is detectable across some European Sentinel platforms (Sentinel-4, Sentinel-5P and 5), former (GOME and SCIAMACHY) and future instruments (CO2M). This absorption signature by water vapor is used to derive the shown concentrations with the Differential Optical Absorption Spectroscopy (DOAS) technique. The retrieval methodology, as applied to the fleet of available platforms, demonstrates several advantages, including optimal sensitivity and coverage characteristics across both oceans and continents, enhanced temporal sampling frequency for weather applications, and continuous extension of long-term datasets for climate study purposes. This is accomplished by DLR in the framework of the EUMETSAT's Satellite Application Facility on Atmospheric Composition (AC-SAF) monitoring where DLR generates operational GOME-2 / MetOp products.

Global compilation of the first occurrence of Gephyrocapsa huxleyi and other Gephyrocapsa species from sediment core samples

The data compilation includes the first occurrence of G. huxleyi and other species of Gephyrocapsa as revealed by Quaternary sediment samples from the world oceans. This new synthesis includes previously published data, all with rigorous relationships of their emergence events with marine isotope stages based on good quality oxygen isotope stratigraphy and/or astronomical tuning from each sediment core.
