HR-ICPMS Determination of As in Environmental Samples

Das Projekt "HR-ICPMS Determination of As in Environmental Samples" wird/wurde ausgeführt durch: Universität für Bodenkultur Wien, Institut für Chemie. In this project, the advantages of HR-ICP-MS with respect to the matrix effects and spectral interferences are described in combination with other analytical methods. The goal is the development of an routine technique for the determination of As in complexe matrices.

Measurement of Cisplatin, Carboplatin, 5-Fluorouracil and Methotrexate Concentrations in Head and Neck Cancers by in vivo Microdialysis

Das Projekt "Measurement of Cisplatin, Carboplatin, 5-Fluorouracil and Methotrexate Concentrations in Head and Neck Cancers by in vivo Microdialysis" wird/wurde ausgeführt durch: Universität für Bodenkultur Wien, Institut für Chemie.Cisplatin, carboplatin, 5-fluorouracil and methotrexate concentrations in head and neck cancers are collected by in vivo microdialysis. The Pt concentration is subsequently analysed by means of HR-ICPMS. A speciation by online coupling of a chromatographical system to the HR-ICPMS is planned. Aims of the study: 1. To describe the time versus concentration profile in tumor tissue of the study drugs as a measure of tumor exposure. 2. To compare the tissue/plasma ratios as a measure of tumor penetration. 3. To describe the time versus concentration profile in the subcutaneous adipose tissue for the study drugs as a measure of drug exposure of normal tissue.

Determination of REE in Certified Reference Materials

In the course of an EU-project Rare Earth Elements (REE) are quantified in duckweed, mussel tissue, thuna and marine sediments. The samples were prepared in stable charges and are subsequently digested and analyzed by different analytical methods. The Universitaet fuer Bodenkultur/Institute of Chemistry is a subcontractor of the project. The samples are digested by microwave digestion and subsequently analyzed by means of HR-ICPMS.

Stable Sr-Isotope Ratio Measurements in Human Bone Samples

Das Projekt "Stable Sr-Isotope Ratio Measurements in Human Bone Samples" wird/wurde ausgeführt durch: Universität für Bodenkultur Wien, Institut für Chemie. The primary aim of the project is the analytical setup for fast (including high sample throughput for statistical evaluation), precise and accurate measurement of strontium isotope ratios using HR-ICPMS (high-resolution inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry) and their application to ancient human skeletal remains from different localities for the reconstruction of migration processes.
