Objective: To contribute to solve the problem of the separation of highly-resistant dust in electrostatic precipitator application. General Information: High voltage pulses are used in order to have a high level of performance for the electrostatic precipitators; these pulses can be varied in level and duration. Large electrostatic precipitators establish the effectiveness of pulse generators and their reactions to various dust granulometries. The experimental device consist of a three- phase high tension generator, a pulsator, a high capacity condenser on the pulsator side and a high capacity choke on the basic voltage side. Comparative measurements are made in a four-chamber electrostatic precipitator charged with an electrical field which is equipped with a pulse generator.
