Anders als früher ist der bevollmächtigte Bezirksschornsteinfeger in seinem (Kehr-)Bezirk nicht mehr für alle Schornsteinfegerarbeiten allein zuständig, sondern nur noch für einige hoheitliche Aufgaben, insbesondere Feuerstättenschau, Feuerstättenbescheid und Bauabnahmen. Hinzu kommt die Aufgabe, das Kehrbuch für den Bezirk zu führen und das fristgemäße Einhalten der Eigentümerpflichten zu prüfen. Zur besseren Auffindbarkeit des/der jeweils zuständigen bevollmächtigten Bezirksschornsteinfegers/-fegerin für die hoheitlichen Aufgaben stellt dieser Dienst die Gebiete und Grenzen der rund 1.400 bayerischen Bezirke dar. Die Erreichbarkeitsdaten der bevollmächtigten Bezirksschornsteinfeger und -fegerinnen sind ebenfalls abrufbar. Die Daten stehen kostenfrei und zugangsfrei im Internet zur Verfügung. Hinweis: Für die nicht hoheitlichen Aufgaben hat am 01.01.2013 der Wettbewerb begonnen. Sie können durch jeden Betrieb durchgeführt werden, der handwerksrechtlich zur Ausübung von Schornsteinfegertätigkeiten in Deutschland berechtigt ist.
