Tree Species - Sentinel-1/2 - Germany, 2022

The Tree Species Germany product provides a map of dominant tree species across Germany for the year 2022 at a spatial resolution of 10 meters. The map depicts the distribution of ten tree species groups derived from multi-temporal optical Sentinel-2 data, radar data from Sentinel-1, and a digital elevation model. The input features explicitly incorporate phenological information to capture seasonal vegetation dynamics relevant for species discrimination. A total of over 80,000 training and test samples were compiled from publicly accessible sources, including urban tree inventories, Google Earth Pro, Google Street View, and field observations. The final classification was generated using an XGBoost machine learning algorithm. The Tree Species Germany product achieves an overall F1-score of 0.89. For the dominant species pine, spruce, beech, and oak, class-wise F1-scores range from 0.76 to 0.98, while F1-scores for other widespread species such as birch, alder, larch, Douglas fir, and fir range from 0.88 to 0.96. The product provides a consistent, high-resolution, and up-to-date representation of tree species distribution across Germany. Its transferable, cost-efficient, and repeatable methodology enables reliable large-scale forest monitoring and offers a valuable basis for assessing spatial patterns and temporal changes in forest composition in the context of ongoing climatic and environmental dynamics.

Digitale Topographische Karte NW 1:25 000

Die DTK 25 ist eine (digitale) topographische Karte im Maßstab 1 : 25 000. Sie wird weitgehend automatisiert aus den Daten des Digitalen Landschaftsmodells NRW und weiteren amtlichen Quellen abgeleitet. Die Karte wird sowohl in Farbe als auch in Schwarz-Weiß bereitgestellt. Die Topographie der Erdoberfläche wird mit hoher Lagegenauigkeit detailreich wiedergegeben. Die DTK25 steht sowohl blattschnittfrei als auch im Standardblattschnitt mit Kartenrahmen und Legende bezogen werden. Die blattschnittfreien Daten können sowohl in Farbe als auch in Schwarz-Weiß bereitgestellt werden.

Digitales Basis-Landschaftsmodell NW

Das Digitale Basis-Landschaftsmodell (Basis-DLM) beschreibt die Landschaft in Form von topographischen Objekten und stellt einen präsentationsneutralen, objektbasierten Vektordatenbestand dar. Das Standard-Datenaustauschformat für Daten im AAA-Modell ist die Normbasierte Austauschschnittstelle (NAS). Der Abruf ist im Format NAS und und als Shape möglich. Der Aktualisierungszyklus beträgt einen Monat. Stand der Daten: 30.06.2025.

METOP GOME-2 - Tropospheric Ozone (Trop-O3) - Tropical

GOME (Global Ozone Monitoring Experiment) stands for a family of satellite instruments named after the first GOME (https://wdc.dlr.de/sensors/gome/) instrument on ERS-2 launched in April 1995. Currently two GOME-2 instruments are operative on Metop-A and B (https://wdc.dlr.de/sensors/gome2/). The tropical tropospheric ozone is retrieved with convective cloud differential method (Valks et al., 2014 http://www.atmos-meas-tech.net/7/2513/2014/amt-7-2513-2014.html). The tropospheric column is retrieved by subtracting the stratospheric ozone column from the total column. The stratospheric ozone column is estimated as the column above high reaching convective clouds.

Global Land Cover Map for 2009 (GlobCover 2009)

The GlobCover initiative of ESA developed and demonstrated a service for the generation of global land cover maps, based on Envisat MERIS Fine Resolution (300 m) mode data. ESA and Université catholique de Louvain demonstrated the possibility to use the GlobCover system operationally by delivering GlobCover 2009, the 2009 global land cover map, within a year of the last satellite acquisition. For maximum user benefit the thematic legend of GlobCover is compatible with the UN Land Cover Classification System (LCCS). The system is based on an automatic pre-processing and classification chain. Finally, the global land cover map was validated by an international group of land cover experts and the validation reports are also available to the user community.

SWIM Water Extent - Sentinel-1/2 - Daily

SWIM Water Extent is a global surface water product at 10 m pixel spacing based on Sentinel-1/2 data. The collection contains binary layers indicating open surface water for each Sentinel-1/2 scene. Clouds and cloud shadows are removed using ukis-csmask (see: https://github.com/dlr-eoc/ukis-csmask ) and are represented as NoData. The water extent extraction is based on convolutional neural networks (CNN). Digitales Höhenmodell Hamburg DGM 10

Abgeleitetes, flächendeckendes digitales Geländemodell mit einer Rasterweite von 10 Meter auf Basis des DGM1. Für die Fläche der Freien und Hansestadt Hamburg (ohne das Gebiet des hamburgischen Wattenmeeres) wurde in 2020 eine Laserscanvermessungen (Airborne Laserscanning) durchgeführt. Die Daten liegen im Lagestatus 310 (ETRS89/UTM) vor, mit Höhenangaben über Normalhöhennull (NHN), gemäß DE_DHHN2016_NH. Die Genauigkeit eines einzelnen Messpunktes liegt in eindeutig definierten Bereichen, wie z.B. auf Straßenflächen, bei ca. ± 105 cm. In Bereichen von Abschattungen (Brücken), Vegetation, insbesondere Flächen in Wald- und Strauchgebieten und bei stark geneigtem Gelände, ist die Genauigkeit geringer. Standardmäßig werden vom LGV folgende Rasterweiten angeboten: DGM 1 (Rasterweite 1m), DGM 10 (Rasterweite 10m), DGM 25 (Rasterweite 25m). Eine jährliche Aktualisierung dieser Daten erfolgt über Luftbildbefliegungen. Neben der reinen Bereitstellung der Höheninformation als regelmäßiges Gitter werden die Daten auch als Dienstleistung in einer Dreiecksvermaschung (TIN) abgegeben. Dabei ist ein Datenaustausch mit 2D- und 3D-CAD-Systemen sichergestellt. Als weitere Dienstleistung können z.B. Höhenlinien und Profile abgeleitet oder Volumina und Neigungen errechnet werden. Durch Integration weiterer Geobasis- und Fachdaten (Vektor- und Rasterdaten) können weitere Dienstleistungen z.B. für die Bereiche Wasserwirtschaft, Tiefbau, Umwelt und Stadtplanung sowie Energieversorgung groß- und kleinräumige Anwendungen abgeleitet werden.

Der interoperable INSPIRE-Datensatz beinhaltet Daten der EU-Zahlstelle BB über die Landschaftselemente in Brandenburg, transformiert in das INSPIRE-Zielschema Bodenbedeckung.
