The dataset contains information on the European river basin districts, the river basin district sub-units, the surface water bodies and the groundwater bodies delineated for the 1st River Basin Management Plans (RBMP) under the Water Framework Directive (WFD) as well as the European monitoring sites used for the assessment of the status of the abovementioned surface water bodies and groundwater bodies. Additional reporting in the area of renewable energy is a dataset under the National Energy and Climate Progress Reports (NECPRs), which is reported every second year (starting in 2023) by EU Member States. The dataset provides information regarding Member States functioning system for guarantees of origin (GO), renewable energy surplus/deficits, biomass use and impacts, and renewable energy usage in buildings. The EEA collects and quality checks this data. The dataset links to data from Eurostat. This reporting obligation comes from the Governance Regulation 2018/1999, Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/2299 (Annex XVI).

Floods Reference Spatial Datasets reported under Floods Directive - version 3.0, Mar. 2025

The Floods Directive (FD) was adopted in 2007 (https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=celex:32007L0060). The purpose of the FD is to establish a framework for the assessment and management of flood risks, aiming at the reduction of the adverse consequences for human health, the environment, cultural heritage and economic activity associated with floods in the European Union. ‘Flood’ means the temporary covering by water of land not normally covered by water. This shall include floods from rivers, mountain torrents, Mediterranean ephemeral water courses, and floods from the sea in coastal areas, and may exclude floods from sewerage systems. This reference spatial dataset, reported under the Floods Directive, includes the areas of potential significant flood risk (APSFR), as they were lastly reported by the Member States to the European Commission, and the Units of Management (UoM).

This data set contains current nitrogen (N) and critical phosphorus (P) concentrations and their exceedances of the current and required Nitrogen Use Efficiencies (NUE) in Europe. This data set has been compiled by the European Topic Centre on Urban, Land and Soil Systems (ETC/ULS) in the context of a study on metal and nutrient dynamics where the fate and dynamics of the most abundant heavy metals and nutrients in agricultural soils were investigated. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impacts of agricultural intensification in Europe, and to understand its environmental impact.

Internationale Quartärkarte von Europa 1:2.500.000 (IQE2500) - Blatt 07 Moskva

Die Idee, das Quartär Europas in einer Karte darzustellen, wurde erstmals 1932 auf dem 2. Kongress der INQUA (International Union for Quaternary Research) in Leningrad (St. Petersburg) diskutiert. Im Jahre 1995, also über 50 Jahre später, wurde unter Federführung der INQUA schließlich die Internationale Quartärkarte von Europa 1 : 2 500 000 (IQE2500) von der Bundesanstalt für Geowissenschaften und Rohstoffe (BGR) fertig gestellt. Die gemeinschaftlich von der BGR und INQUA herausgegebene Karte bildet verschiedene quartäre Einheiten wie Endmoränen, Grundmoränen, Kames, Drumlins, Oser und Eisrandlagen ab. Zusätzlich sind die Richtungen der Eisbewegungen, Grenzen der marinen Transgressionen und tektonische Störungen eingetragen. Bedeutende Typlokalitäten der Quartärforschung, bathymetrische Linien und die rezente Sedimentverteilung am Meeresboden werden ebenfalls dargestellt. Die Legende auf jedem der 14 Kartenblätter ist in Deutsch und, in Anhängigkeit des abgebildeten Territoriums, in Englisch, Französisch oder Russisch. Auf Blatt 15 findet sich die Generallegende für das gesamte Kartenwerk.
