Das Projekt "Optimizing of the Retention Capacity of Bentonites and Bentonite Mixtures in Slurry Walls" wird/wurde gefördert durch: Bundesministerium für Bildung, Wissenschaft, Forschung und Technologie / Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH, Internationales Büro. Es wird/wurde ausgeführt durch: Universität Trier, Fachbereich VI, Lehrstuhl für Geologie.The proposed project is aiming at the development of new high-added value products based on bentonite and presenting a high retention capacity for a large variety of pollutants for environmental protection applications. The field of application of the newly developed products is in the trench wall slurry-technology with vertical barriers against organic and inorganic toxic leachates from contaminated industrial sites as well as already existing waste deposits which are not encapsulated according to modern technical standards.
