GeomodelatorGUI is a graphical user interface for Geomodelator, an open-source Python-based software that converts static geological models into simulation grids for subsurface assessments. The GUI, built on a modular client-server architecture, enables efficient modeling on low-memory systems and direct visualization of results without requiring third-party software.GeomodelatorGUI is based on python, streamlit and pyvista to use the free GEOMODELATOR to setup 3d geolocial models for the simulator framework TRANSPORTSE.
GEOMODELATOR is a Python library designed to generate simple, structured 2.5D and 3D VTK models/files with layers, faults, and seams, organized into corresponding element/zone groups for subsequent processing or integration into simulation frameworks like TRANSPORTSE (Kempka., 2024).
In the current version (2.0), the layer ranking has been expanded, and the option to use YAML or JSON files as configuration files has been added. Furthermore, the code is now ready to be used as a service within the GeomodelatorGUI framework. Finally, the source code has been revised.
