Comprehensive dataset for the Hujialin ultramafic body in the Sulu orogen: Mineral proportions, whole-rock geochemistry, Sr-Nd-O isotopes, mineral chemistry, and melt/cumulate modeling

This dataset presents a comprehensive geochemical and petrological record for the Hujialin ultramafic body in the Sulu orogenic belt, a major ultrahigh-pressure terrane in eastern China. The data compilation includes mineral proportions (Table S1), whole-rock major and trace element compositions (Table S2), whole-rock Sr–Nd isotopic ratios (Table S3), major and trace element compositions of olivine (Table S4), spinel (Table S5), garnet (Table S6), and clinopyroxene (Table S7), oxygen isotope compositions of whole-rock and mineral separates (Table S8), and modeled melt–cumulate compositions using the MELTS algorithm (Table S9). The dataset integrates newly acquired analyses with previously published data for several garnet-rich clinopyroxenites, allowing a unified comparison across the Hujialin ultramafic suite. This study was supported by funds from National Key Research and Development Program of China (2024YFF0807300) and the Fundamental and Interdisciplinary Disciplines Breakthrough Plan of the Ministry of Education of China (JYB2025XDXM911).

Ruthenium and Tungsten isotopic composition of ocean island basalts and refrence materials

The dataset includes Ruthenium and Tungsten isotope data for mafic to ultramafic lava associated with the Hawaii, Réunion, Galápagos and Iceland plume systems. The data is supplemented by Ru isotope data for reference materials (OREAS 684) picrite derived from the upper mantle (Gönnern Quarry, Hessia) lherzolite preidotites (Eifel) and Eoarchean dunites (Isua, Greenland). The data are supplementary to: Messling, Nils; Willbold, Matthias; Kallas, Leander; Elliott, Tim; Fitton, J. Godfrey; Müller, Thomas; Geist, Dennis (submitted) Core leakage revealed by Ru and W isotope systematics in ocean island basalts. Submitted to Nature

GEOSCRAPE zircon database

This database contains a compilation of published zircon geochronology, chemistry and isotope data. The database was created through automated web scraping of the Figshare data repository. Data included U-Pb and Pb-Pb dating, Lu-Hf isotopes, trace element and rare earth element chemistry and isotopes. Where available, metadata on the analytical method, lithology, sample description and sampling coordinates are included. All analyses include a citation and doi link to the original data hosted on Figshare. See metadata table for descriptions of table headers. See associated manuscript for web scraping code.

Global mantle clinopyroxene data (major and trace elements)

Compilation of global major and trace element compositional data for clinopyroxenes from mantle xenoliths from 972 locations worldwide, originally downloaded from the GEOROC database (https://georoc.eu/; accessed 14 July 2020). Each location includes multiple samples and analyses. To exclude unreliable samples, we used only clinopyroxenes with 40–60 wt.% SiO2, <40 wt.% MgO, <30 wt.% FeOT, <26 wt.% CaO, and oxide totals of 98.5–101.5 wt.%. Elements missing from >60% of the entire dataset were not considered. The dataset contains 21,605 observations (rows) corresponding to clinopyroxene major element analyses (SiO2, TiO2, Al2O3, Cr2O3, FeOT, CaO, MgO, MnO, and Na2O), and 2,967 rows of trace element analyses (including Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Ni, Rb, Sr, Y, Zr, Nb, Ba, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu, Hf, Ta, Pb, Th, and U). Database as published in Qin et al. (2022).
