Potentiell TFA-emittierende Industriebetriebe (Datensatz)

EU Climate Policy Tracker

The EU Climate Policy Tracker (EU CPT) presents up-to-date developments in climate and energy policies in the EU-27. Although government policy is the single most influential driver behind the fight against climate change, there is limited information about the status of the policies that influence increases or decreases in emissions. The EU Climate Policy Tracker (EU CPT) is intended to bridge this gap. The project holds two references in focus at the same time: a 2050 goal of near total decarbonisation, and our current policy trajectory. A uniquely developed scoring method, modelled on appliance efficiency labels (A-G), gives an indication of how Member States are doing compared to a low-carbon policy package. This results in aggregated scores, supported with a rich background of information, for all Member States, at EU level, and for different economic sectors. The project is intended to be a resource for those seeking information, a means of sharing best practice, and a way of holding policymakers to account. In 2011 we updated our initial rating from November 2010. The findings of 2010 showed that the average score across the EU was an E, indicating that the level of effort needed to treble to be on track to reach the 2050 vision. Looking at the developments in 2011, we can see that there has been considerable activity in many countries, though the overall scoring has generally remained constant: positive actions are counteracted by negative developments or budget cuts. The EU CPT is a joint project by Ecofys and WWF. The project is funded by the European Climate Foundation. Visit the EU Climate Policy Tracker on: www.climatepolicytracker.eu.

Total suspended matter, particulate organic matter and particulate inorganic matter from discrete water samples during RV MARIA S MERIAN cruise MSM129/1

This dataset was collected during the cruise MSM129/1 with RV MARIA S. MERIAN from Warnemünde, Germany to St. John's, Canada. It contains suspended particulate matter, particulate organic matter and particulate inorganic matter measurements [mg/l] from water samples collected from the seawater supply (Reinseewassersystem, RSWS) to calibrate the turbidity data of the RSWS system. The outflow of a PocketFerrybox that was connected to the seawater supply in the hangar was used for sampling. It takes a substantial amount of time for the water to reach the hanger from the intake point. The time delay between the sensor readings of the RSWS and the PocketFerrybox was determined and the timestamps of the water sampling were adjusted accordingly. Given latitute and longitude refer to this corrected timestamp. The original time of water sampling in the hangar is given as an additional column with the comment time of sampling. To obtain suspended particulate matter concentrations, water samples were filtered onboard through 0.7 μm pore size, glass fiber filters (Whatmann GF/F, 47 mm) under low vacuum. Filters were frozen immediately at -80 °C until gravimetric analysis in the laboratory at ICBM, Wilhelmshaven according to IOCCG recommendations.

Chlorophyll a and phaeophytin a measurements from discrete water samples during RV MARIA S. MERIAN cruise MSM129/1

This dataset was collected during the cruise MSM129/1 with RV MARIA S. MERIAN from Warnemünde, Germany to St. John's, Canada. It contains chlorophyll-a measurements [µg/l] from water samples collected from the seawater supply (Reinseewassersystem, RSWS) as well as from three CTD casts to calibrate the fluorometers of the RSWS system and the CTD, respectively. To obtain chl-a concentrations, water samples were filtered onboard through 0.7 μm pore size, glass fiber filters (Whatmann GF/F) under low vacuum. Filters were frozen immediately at -80 °C until extraction in laboratory by 90% acetone method. Concentrations were calculated from fluorescence measured with a pre-calibrated Turner Design TD 7200-02 laboratory fluorometer (EPA445.0, Turner Manual).

Distribution and concentration of nutrients, carbon compounds and methane in water samples in the southern German Bight (North Sea) in February 2025 , during MOSES Sternfahrt 13

Previous Sternfahrten were mainly conducted in spring and summer. To cover the seasonal aspects more thoroughly, including a winter situation, Sternfahrt 13 was conducted in February 2025 (10–12 February). We used the RV Heincke (cruise HE653/2) instead of the RV Uthörn. The Heincke's draught is greater, so we could not reach all of our previous stations. Surface and bottom water samples were taken with a rosette; in the event of stratification in the water column, an additional sample was taken from the middle.

Processed seismic data of Cruise SO104 CINCA 1995

The CINCA marine geoscience investigations on the convergent continental margin of Chile between 19°S and 33°30'S were accomplished during three legs of RV SONNE cruise SO-104, from 22. July to 15. October 1995. The objectives of the first leg are to contribute to an understanding of the geological architecture and of the tectonic mechanism in the area of the Chile convergent zone through a geophysical assessment of the tectonic structures of the Chile continental margin and the adjacent oceanic Nazca plate. During the first leg from 22. July to 24. August 1995 multichannel seismic reflection data with BGR's new digital streamer were collected along a systematic grid with a total traverse length of 4,494 km simultaneously with the acquisition of magnetic, gravimetric, Hydrosweep and Parasound data over a total traverse length of 7,012 km. GFZ's mobile land array of 12 seismic stations recorded the air gun shots fired by RV SONNE within the CINCA area. Three seismic lines were surveyed between 32°30'S and 33°30'S in the area of the CONDOR project. Here, the surface of the downbending oceanic crust is smooth. The 5,000 m to 6,000 m deep trench floor is underlain by sediments, in excess 2,500 m thick. The inner trench slope consists of a landward thickening accretionary wedge which terminates against a body forming the base of a fore arc basin near Valparaiso. The principal area of the CINCA project extends between 19°S and 26°S and comprises the convergent continental margin, the Peru-Chile trench and the seaward adjacent part of the Nazca plate up to approximately 75°W longitude. The tectonic regime of these units of the CINCA area is very different from the tectonic system of the respective units of the CONDOR area. The Eocene-aged and sediment-starved oceanic crust of the Nazca plate becomes blockfaulted when approaching the outer trench slope break. The 50 km to 70 km wide outer trench slope is characterized by a complex system of horst and graben structures in the CINCA area probably resulting from the strong downbending. Steep fault scarps forming the flanks of the horsts reach vertical offsets varying between few hundreds of metres to 1,000 m, and locally even more. The 7,000 m to 8,l00 m deep trench is very narrow and mostly sediment-starved in the CINCA area. Morphology and architecture of the continental margin of the CINCA area are controlled by planar and listric faulting and tilted blocks of inferred continental nature, which apparently slid down into the trench. The inferred continental blocks, overlying a reflective mass, are covered by sediments of presumably turbiditic nature. An accretionary wedge is difficult to define on the seismic single channel records from the CINCA area. However, processed seismic data show a deep reflective mass underlying the downfaulted blocks of inferred continental nature. This deep reflective mass is interpreted to consist of a tectonically eroded and underplated continental crust-basalt melange forming the transition between the downfaulted continental upper plate and the subducting oceanic lower plate. Complex structural highs of still unknown origin and nature have been observed on the upper continental slope at 20°S, 24°S and 25°S. The northernmost structural high represents the seaward termination of the Iquique fore arc basin. The accuracy of the acquired gravity and bathymetric data is very good, i.e. better than 1 mGal and less than 10 m. The Chile trench is associated with strong negative gravity anomalies, and the continental margin is characterized by several positive and negative gravity anomalies of varying size and amount. The first results of magnetic modeling show, that the intensive blockfaulting of the oceanic crust across the outer trench slope causes no loss of the magnetization of the oceanic crust. The air gun shots fired by RV SONNE in 50 m intervals along 17 seismic traverses were recorded by GFZ's mobile land array in the coastal area of Chile. Good quality data were obtained out to about 100 km distance and in some cases even out to about 150 km.

European Union Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) data from the Union Registry, Apr. 2026

This is the metadata for the EU Emission Trading System (EU ETS). EU ETS aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions cost-effectively by setting a cap on the total amount of emissions from covered sectors. These sectors include power and heat generation, energy-intensive industries aviation and shipping within the European Economic Area. Under the system, companies receive or purchase emission allowances, each permitting the release of one tonne of CO₂ or equivalent gases. Businesses can trade these allowances, creating a financial incentive to reduce emissions. If a company emits less than its allowance, it can sell the surplus; if it exceeds the cap, it must buy more or face penalties. The cap is reduced annually, ensuring a steady decline in emissions over time. The system has gone through several phases, with the current Phase 4 running from 2021 to 2030. It also supports innovation and investment in low-carbon technologies through dedicated funds. Overall, the EU ETS plays a key role in helping the EU reach its climate neutrality goal by 2050. Data about the EU emission trading system (ETS). The EU ETS data viewer provides aggregated data on emissions and allowances, by country, sector and year. The data mainly comes from the Union Registry. Additional information on auctioning and scope corrections is included.

Überarbeitung der statistischen Guidance zu OECD Prüfrichtlinien (OECD Series on Testing and Assessment No. 54)

Energy Savings 2020: How to triple the impact of energy saving policies in Europe?

Europe needs to triple the impact of its energy efficiency policies to achieve its 2020 targets set last year, according to a new study written by Ecofys and the Fraunhofer ISI. The study reveals that the potential exists to reach the 20 percent energy saving by 2020 goal cost-efficiently, cutting energy bills by € 78 billion for European consumers and businesses annually by 2020. However, current EU policy is delivering only one-third of the potential cost-effective savings measures. Increased energy savings will also warrant easier and less expensive achievement of a 20 percent share of renewables in the EU energy mix in 2020. The study was commissioned jointly by the European Climate Foundation (ECF) and the Regulatory Assistance Project (RAP).
