Die Windspitze ist der höchste 3-Sekunden Wert innerhalb eines 10-min Intervalls. Die Messungen sind einem Zeitstempel in UTC zugeordnet, welcher das Ende des 10-min Intervalls markiert. Diese Daten stammen von den Stationen des DWD und qualitativ sowie rechtlich gleichgestellten Partnernetzen. Umfangreiche Stationsmetadaten (Stationsverlegungen, Instrumentenwechsel, Wechsel der Bezugszeit, Änderungen in den Algorithmen) werden beim Download über das CDC-Portal mitgeliefert.
