Das Projekt "Support to water efficiency studies for the Fairtrade Water Project in Nicaragua and Honduras - Options to improve farm-income and water productivity" wird/wurde ausgeführt durch: Berner Fachhochschule, Hochschule für Agrar-, Forst- und Lebensmittelwissenschaften. In order to assess the sustainability of water use in agriculture and to plan optimisation strategies, assessing water productivity not only allows evaluating water utilisation practices but also offers the option to estimate changes in farmers' income due to improvements in water management. A tool for small-scale farmers is developed that allows optimizing farming operations in terms of income and water productivity under rainfed and irrigated conditions. Aim: Increase income from and stability of agricultural production through water-efficient practices, where rational by including small-scale irrigation.
