European Energy Award

<p>Der European Energy Award® (eea) ist ein Programm für umsetzungsorientierte Energie- und Klimaschutzpolitik in Städten, Gemeinden und Landkreisen. Er dient als Steuerungs- und Controllinginstrument der kommunalen Klimaschutz- und Energiepolitik, mit dem alle klima- und energierelevanten Aktivitäten systematisch erfasst, bewertet und kontinuierlich überprüft werden. Der eea unterstützt die Kommunen dabei, ihre Stärken, Schwächen und Verbesserungspotenziale systematisch zu identifizieren und Maßnahmen zur Steigerung der Energieeffizienz umzusetzen. Die Ergebnisse der Stadt Konstanz liegen hier im maschinenlesbaren Format vor. Konstanz nimmt seit 2007 am eea teil und wird dabei durch einen externen Berater unterstützt und fachlich begleitet.</p> <p>Zu Beginn wurde ein Energieteam innerhalb der Verwaltung gegründet, in welchem Vertreter aus verschiedenen Ämtern sowie den Stadtwerken unter Federführung des Amts für Stadtplanung und Umwelt zusammenarbeiten.</p> <p>Das wichtigste Werkzeug des eea-Programms ist der eea-Maßnahmenkatalog, der ca. 100 mögliche Maßnahmen aus sechs verschiedenen Handlungsfeldern umfasst und mit dessen Hilfe die Analyse- und Planungsprozesse durchgeführt werden.</p> <p>Auf der Basis der Ist-Analyse wurde ein energiepolitisches Arbeitsprogramm (Maßnahmenplan) für die Stadt Konstanz ausgearbeitet, in welchem für die einzelnen Handlungsfelder insgesamt etwa 40 Maßnahmen definiert wurden.</p> <p>Das energiepolitische Arbeitsprogramm für Konstanz wird jährlich fortgeschrieben. Integrated national climate and energy policies and measures

Integrated national climate and energy ‘policies and measures’ (PaMs) cover all actions which contribute to meeting the objectives of the integrated national energy and climate plans. European countries are committed to adopting, implementing and planning policies and taking the corresponding measures to achieve climate change mitigation and energy targets, such as reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, producing additional renewable energy, or reducing overall energy consumption. All European countries report information on implemented, adopted or planned PaMs every 2 years under the Governance of the Energy Union and Climate Action Regulation and its two Implementing Regulations (EU) 2020/1208 and (EU) 2022/2299.

Es wird/wurde ausgeführt durch: Ecofys Germany GmbH.Europe needs to triple the impact of its energy efficiency policies to achieve its 2020 targets set last year, according to a new study written by Ecofys and the Fraunhofer ISI. The study reveals that the potential exists to reach the 20 percent energy saving by 2020 goal cost-efficiently, cutting energy bills by € 78 billion for European consumers and businesses annually by 2020. However, current EU policy is delivering only one-third of the potential cost-effective savings measures. Increased energy savings will also warrant easier and less expensive achievement of a 20 percent share of renewables in the EU energy mix in 2020. The study was commissioned jointly by the European Climate Foundation (ECF) and the Regulatory Assistance Project (RAP).

EU Climate Policy Tracker

Das Projekt "EU Climate Policy Tracker" wird/wurde gefördert durch: European Climate Foundation. Es wird/wurde ausgeführt durch: Ecofys Germany GmbH.The EU Climate Policy Tracker (EU CPT) presents up-to-date developments in climate and energy policies in the EU-27. Although government policy is the single most influential driver behind the fight against climate change, there is limited information about the status of the policies that influence increases or decreases in emissions. The EU Climate Policy Tracker (EU CPT) is intended to bridge this gap. The project holds two references in focus at the same time: a 2050 goal of near total decarbonisation, and our current policy trajectory. A uniquely developed scoring method, modelled on appliance efficiency labels (A-G), gives an indication of how Member States are doing compared to a low-carbon policy package. This results in aggregated scores, supported with a rich background of information, for all Member States, at EU level, and for different economic sectors. The project is intended to be a resource for those seeking information, a means of sharing best practice, and a way of holding policymakers to account. In 2011 we updated our initial rating from November 2010. The findings of 2010 showed that the average score across the EU was an E, indicating that the level of effort needed to treble to be on track to reach the 2050 vision. Looking at the developments in 2011, we can see that there has been considerable activity in many countries, though the overall scoring has generally remained constant: positive actions are counteracted by negative developments or budget cuts.
